Ecthyma

Ecthyma is a skin infection that causes crusted sores, which results in ulcer formation under the skin. It also causes deeper skin erosions on the dermis of the skin. Streptococcus bacteria is the causative agent for this skin condition. Smaller ecthyma is cured by applying antibiotic ointments on the skin, while larger ones need oral antibiotics.
