How can eye strain be alleviated?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am physically active, but my eyes feel extremely tired after waking up and remain that way throughout the day. As a result, I have difficulty opening my eyes and experience strain.

Please help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Hello doctor,

Your symptoms suggest refractive errors, glaucoma, stress, or allergies. I recommend using Carboxymethyl cellulose eye drops three times a day and taking a Vitamin A capsule (2000 IU) once daily. Please consult a specialist before starting any medication. Perform breathing exercises and regularly massage your eyes. If you do not see improvement, consult an ophthalmologist for further examination.

To guide you better, could you please answer a few questions? Are you spending long periods looking at a mobile or computer screen? Do you notice any floaters or blind spots in your vision? Are you experiencing headaches or vomiting?

Please revert.

Thank you.
