Will periodontal flap surgery help in treating bone loss?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Please tell me if I have bone loss. Do I need flap surgery to correct bone loss? I have had bleeding since childhood once in two months. I currently use Chlorhexidine mouthwash and Finasteride for hair loss treatment.

Please help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I went through your query.

Yes, it is needed to go with flap surgery. It is a useful procedure to regain the strength of teeth soon and is effective. Also, maintain oral hygiene properly and use mouthwash after brushing twice a day.

I hope that you get your answer.

Please let me know if you need any help.

Thank you.
