What are the anti-aging supplements or creams?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 40 years old and have fine lines and wrinkles on my face. I have noticed a few people my age take some supplements and creams to reduce spots, fine lines, and wrinkles. Is it necessary to use it, and do they have side effects? Also, are there any diets specific for enhancing the skin's health as we age? Please help me with the supplement and cream that I can use to reduce aging signs.

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern.

Before choosing the best options for managing your facial wrinkles, I would like to examine them personally to assess the changes. While not strictly necessary, using skin-supporting products and supplements can help prevent or reduce fine lines and wrinkles as you age. However, I need to review your skin and conduct some tests before making any recommendations.

Generally, for skincare, I suggest using a moisturizer with hyaluronic acid to keep the skin hydrated and plump, a retinol serum or cream starting with a low concentration, and an antioxidant serum like vitamin C to brighten and protect the skin. For supplements, collagen peptides (hydrolyzed for better absorption), fish oil (from a reputable source), and a multivitamin with vitamins C and E can be beneficial. The key is to pay attention to your skin's needs and adjust your routine as necessary.

I hope this helps.

Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.

Take care.

Thank you.
