Does the presence of adhesions indicate a recurrence of gangrene spread?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I would like to know if there is a risk of gangrene spreading in the future after the surgery. Kindly help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern.

It is most unlikely for gangrene to happen again.

Adhesions will not clear up on their own, but that does not mean that it will cause trouble going forward.

However, It is advisable to make sure to understand the surgery. The surgical record has to be stored safely to refer to any problems that can arise in 40 to 50 years.

I hope this information will help you.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Could you please share what was wrong with your son?

Possibly for intestinal obstruction

How is he doing now?

Patient's Query

Not understood sir
Okay The chance that he will have gangrene again is low So don’t worry The adhesions that your doctor told you about - I don’t think they will cause him any problem either

Patient's Query

3 months finished sir, if gangrene spread means symptoms will there na, but he is good, my question is after now any chance to come
There is almost nil to minimal chance of this happening again
