What are the causes of fluctuating blood pressure and red eyes?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a 23-year-old man. Actually, my diastolic BP is always between 89 to 90 mmHg, and my systolic BP is in the range of 127 to 130 mmHg. Now, my BP is 130/90 mmHg. I do not go for blood tests because I am not ready to undergo them.

Actually, I am using eye drops daily for my eyes because of watery and red eyes, and I am also using glasses. My eyes become red and watery when I do not use eye drops. My concerns are:

  1. What is the reason for my eyes turning red?
  2. And what are the reasons for fluctuations in my BP readings?

Please help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I am very sorry about your medical condition.

Do not worry. I am here to take care of you.

Regarding your symptoms, I believe you have developed an acute glaucoma of both eyes. I suggest you visit a nearby hospital to see an ophthalmologist to check your eye pressure. Because I believe you have intraocular tension.

Meanwhile, use two drops of topical 1 % Timolol eye drops twice a day for two weeks.

I hope this helps.

Revert in case of queries.

Regards.
