How to prevent hairfall?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

A year and 3 months ago, I was not showering much, and I was not using conditioner or shampoo, and when I did shower, I only used hot water. So, I lost a lot of hairs that had white bulbs at the end, which is something I have never seen. I cut off my hair but did not start taking care of it for the past 5 months. I have not noticed any regrowth of what I lost a year ago yet. I am kinda scared and I do not know what to do, but I am not losing anywhere near the amount I used to lose. Now I only lose what I think is regular amounts to shed.

Kindly suggest.

Thank you.

I am very sorry about your medical condition, and I am glad that you are paying attention to changes in your body system. But do not worry, I am here to take care of you. Regarding your symptoms, I believe you have developed alopecia. May I kindly ask you to send me a picture of the area where you lost your hair so that I can make a better prescription of what to use?

I hope this helps.
