Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have gone through your query and understand your concern.

Itching with hives has various causes. Treatment of it is mostly according to the cause. Another treatment is symptomatic. Loratadine is antihistaminic and antiallergic medicine.

In your case of itching with hives, you can take Desloratadine with Montelukast (Dazit M) or Fexofenadine with Montelukast (Allegra M). But to search for the cause of itching with hives will be more beneficial.

I hope I have answered your question.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thank you for your reply,

I usually have it when I am exposed to cool places like AC rooms. I was puzzled because this was the first time that my body reacts to coldness which I am used to.

Could that be possible all of a sudden?

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Yes, hives with itching are possible due to cold which is called cold urticaria. Allergy does not appear suddenly, and it develops over time but it manifests on the body in any form (itching, hives) after a few days or a few months later.

I hope I have answered your question.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Thank you.
