Medical Conditions - Hyperlordosis

Hyperlordosis often termed a "hollowback" or "swayback," is an excessive curvature of the lumbar region of the spine (lower spine region). In the case of hyperlordosis, there should be a little curvature in the lumbar region, but not excessively. The most common cause of hyperlordosis is improper posture. Obesity is another condition that may contribute to hyperlordosis. Wearing high-heeled shoes over long periods can predispose to hyperlordosis.
