Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My husband had severe tooth pain and yesterday he got an X-ray of his mouth done which shows that one of his teeth is fully covered up in his jaw skin. Please tell me is surgery the only option for it and is it harmful? Please help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern

Your X-ray shows a wisdom tooth that is not properly erupted. Usually, your teeth have to erupt vertically, like a standing line but your last tooth has erupted horizontally like a sleeping line. It is also disturbing other teeth nearby, it is pushing the next teeth. So you are experiencing severe pain, and there is no other option you will have to go for extraction. If you do not extract it, it will cause severe discomfort and affect the nearby tooth. Kindly get the treatment done as soon as possible.

I hope this helps you.

Thanks.

Regards.
