Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
My two-year-old boy had two spots on his chin that resembled pimples. Now it seems to be getting worse. What could it be?
Please help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I went through your query.
It seems your son has impetigo. It is a highly contagious infection of the superficial layers of the epidermis. It is primarily caused by Streptococcus pyogenes or Staphylococcus aureus. I suggest you give him syrup Augmentin (antibiotic) doses as per his body weight and Mupirocin (antibiotic) ointment for local application twice daily for five days after consulting a specialist doctor.
Hope it helps.
Thanks and regards.
