Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am 45 years old and experiencing some health concerns. Recently, I have noticed irregularities in my menstrual cycle, along with symptoms such as hot flashes, mood swings, and joint pain. Also, I am an active person and exercise regularly. I read that these could be signs of menopause. How might mesopause affect my menstrual cycle and exercise routine? What strategies can I use to manage these symptoms effectively? Kindly suggest.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern.
These could be the symptoms of peri-menopause. I suggest you do FSH (follicle-stimulating hormone), TSH (thyroid-stimulating hormone), and prolactin hormone levels just to be sure. I suggest you follow the following:
Also, get a routine Pap (Papanicolaou test) smear if not done in the last three years. I hope this helps you.
Thank you.
