Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
My last period was followed by sexual intercourse a few days later and again about a week after that. I got my next period on time, but the bleeding and clots are lighter than usual. I am also experiencing cramps. Is this period normal?
Please help.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern.
It is possible that the lighter bleeding and fewer clots in your recent period could be due to hormonal changes, stress, or recent sexual activity. Where was the ejaculation during intercourse? Since you had sex between your last two periods, lighter bleeding could result from hormonal fluctuations or even slight implantation bleeding. Cramps are common during periods, but if they worsen or if your bleeding pattern changes significantly, it is best to consult me for proper evaluation. If you miss your next period or experience unusual symptoms, consider taking a pregnancy test.
I hope this helps.
Kindly follow up if you have more concerns.
Thank you.
