The low fodmap diet consists of foods that are low on FODMAPs (fermentable oligosaccharides, disaccharides, monosaccharides, and polyols). FODMAPs are nothing but short-chain carbohydrates that is not absorbed properly by the intestines. FODMAP is nothing but sugar. This diet is suggested to people who have constant abdominal pain, bloating, diarrhea, etc.
