Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Can you tell me how to remove flat moles from my face? I do not know why they are growing. I am currently taking acne medication.

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understand your concern. Moles or acquired melanocytic nevi are collections of colored (melanocytes) cells in our skin, which can be genetic. As these are small benign proliferations there are no creams or lotions that can help with the removal. The only way to remove them is by doing procedures which can be of different types and are done only by professionals:

1) Can be removed by chemicals.

2) Can use electric cautery or RF (radiofrequency) ablation.

3) Lasers.

Even after removal, there is a possibility of recurrence. But regular use of sunscreen is a must with all the above procedures.

I hope this clarifies your concern.

Thank you.
