Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I drink about six to eight cups of coffee in the morning before I eat, so I break my fast early afternoon and feel relatively fine. For nearly a week now, once I eat food, I feel nauseous for the rest of the day. Stools are normal. Should I go to the doctor? I am worried about stomach cancer.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have reviewed your case history in detail.

1) Most common reason for nausea and discomfort after eating is gastritis and Dyspepsia (feeling bloating and low appetite).

2) You can use simple medicine like Antacids Gaviscon 10 milliliter after every meal and as needed.

3) Tablet Pantoprazole 40 milligrams is stomach acid suppression medicine, which you can use half an hour before breakfast for 7 days.

4) Try to reduce the amount of coffee for a couple of days.

5) Avoid eating out or alcohol consumption, if any.

6) Home-cooked meals are allowed. Avoid reheated meals if possible.

7) Your duration of symptoms is very short. Gastric cancer is highly unlikely.

Wishing you good health.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
