What does an ultrasound report suggest about ovarian cysts?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am not able to understand what is mentioned in my ultrasound report.

Please review.

Hello,

Thanks for reaching out to iCliniq.

I am very sorry about your medical condition. Do not worry I am here to take care of you.

Regarding your scan report (attachments removed to protect the patient’s identity), you have small renal stones, large ovarian cysts, and endometrial hyperplasia. So, for the minor renal cyst, you will need to take at least 0.52 gallons of water daily to flush out the minor stone to avoid it getting bigger and blocking your ureter to cause kidney disease. Secondly, the large ovarian cyst will need surgery as no medications can remove such a large cyst. So, visit a nearby hospital for an operation called right total ovariectomy. Finally, you need to do an endometrial biopsy because the thickness may be precancerous, so I need to know the biopsy report and send it to me. Please take the tablet Progestin (progesterone) 5 mg four times for 14 days to reduce the thickness. Consult your specialist doctor, discuss with him or her, and take the medicines with their consent.

You can schedule another appointment for follow-up via chat, phone, or video consultation if you need more explanation. Video consultation will be much better.

Thanks for using icliniq and have a nice day.

I hope this helps you.

Thank you.
