Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My attempts at ovulation induction have been unsuccessful. I have completed two cycles involving tablets and HMG injections, but the reasons for the failure are unknown. Additionally, I have a history of medical conditions, specifically mild bilateral polycystic ovaries. Previous medications for this concern include Orlistat, Metformin, Letrozole, HQ 100, Progesterone, and HMG injections. Kindly help.

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understand your concern,

I want to ask the following questions:

  1. Have you undergone testing for your AMH (Anti-Mullerian hormone) levels?

  2. Has your husband undergone a semen analysis? If not, I recommend conducting these tests to gain a comprehensive understanding of the fertility factors involved.

I hope this helps. Feel free to reach out if you have any further questions.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thank you for your reply.

My AMH level is 3.21 ng, indicating ovarian reserve. In my husband's sperm analysis, the count is 39 million with a motility of 40 percent.

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I want to ask for more questions:

  1. Is the dominant follicle forming well in your follicular study?

  2. How much Letrozole have you been prescribed?

Sometimes, achieving success may take time. In cases of infertility, patience is crucial. It might take four to five cycles to conceive. If the dominant follicle is developing effectively, and the egg is releasing appropriately, there is usually no need for concern. Ensure you monitor the process closely and engage in regular intercourse around your ovulation period.

I hope this helps. Feel free to reach out if you have any further questions.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thank you for your reply.

The follicular study has not been conducted. In one cycle, I took 2.5 mg of Letrozole, and in another cycle, I used Clomiphene Citrate.

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

When you are taking ovulation induction like Letrozole or Clomiphene you should do a follicular study, to track whether a dominant follicle is forming or not, and without that how can you take an HCG injection? From the next cycle please track it properly and do not take anything blindly.

Thank you.
