Common "Pop Slab" queries answered by top doctors | iCliniq

Pop Slab

A POP slab or plaster of Paris slab is an aid used by orthopedics in treating fractures and dislocations of bones and joints. The slab is made of plaster of Paris to align closely with the fractured area at length. Unlike a plaster cast, it allows enough space to contain the inflammatory swelling in the injured area. It protects, immobilizes, and stabilizes the area effectively.
