How to treat itchy yellow bump on the scrotum?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 18 years old and have a yellow bump on my scrotum. It is just a single bump only and is around two to three millimeters, and it has not caused any irritation. But now it is itching. Once, it happened to my hand, but it was cured with homeopathic medicine.

Please suggest what I can do now.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

I am very sorry about your medical condition, and I am glad that you are paying attention to changes in your body system. But do not worry, I am here to take care of you. Regarding your symptoms and the picture you sent (the attachment was removed to protect the patient's identity), I believe you have developed a folliculitis, an inflammatory reaction of the hair follicles that may be infected from the yellow presentation. Please apply topical Clindamycin 0.1 percent ointment twice daily for one week to get rid of it. Reply to me if you have more concerns or questions by scheduling a direct appointment or follow-up.

I hope this will help you.

Thank you.
