Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have issues with sexual arousal and have previously consulted a sexology specialist. The first time I had sex I had a good arousal. But after that, every time I started having lesser and lesser arousal, which now came down to no arousal at all. When I first consulted with a gynecologist she said the problem will get resolved if I get married. I do not have a body image problem, my partner is great, I am in a very satisfied relationship, and do not feel having intercourse is a dirty thing (which the gynecologist said could be some problems to be considered too). I am not taking any medications. I have taken many tests including blood tests, USG pelvis, and MRI brain as per the doctor's advice. I have attached all the reports taken until now here for your reference.

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for writing and I understand your concern.

Based on your symptoms, you have sexual arousal disorder. My first recommendation since you have a partner is to see a psychologist who has sex therapy experience (sex therapist). It may not be a body image or relationship problem, but a therapist can help figure out and resolve any simple issues there may be which can be dealt with easily even without medicines.

I do not think you have any hormonal problems that I can help with.

Feel free to reach out for further queries or clarifications.

Thank you.

I would recommend you see the therapist with your partner.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
