Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I hurt my leg a few years ago due to which my muscle got ruptured and there developed DVT in my left leg. I was on Warfarin for a year after which I stopped taking the medicine. During that time I was smoking weed. I still smoke it every day and I feel veins pulsing in my legs. Do you think that is because of smoking? My left leg sometimes hurt, is it because of DVT?

Please help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thanks for asking.

Based on your query, my opinion is as follows:

1. Smoking increases the risk of DVT (deep vein thrombosis).

2. Symptoms do not appear to be of DVT, however, it is important to avoid the risk.

3. Being active and doing leg exercises will be helpful. If still doubtful, I suggest you get an ultrasound of the leg.

I hope this has helped you.

Thanks and regards.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
