Medical Conditions - Snellen Chart

A Snellen chart is an eye chart used by ophthalmologists to measure visual field acuity. This chart consists of 11 rows of the English alphabet written in capital letters; the first row depicts larger letters, and the size of the letters decreases with each row. In a Snellen chart test, the patient will be asked to stand 20 feet away from the chart and read the letters without glasses or lenses. The doctor measures the visual acuity by analyzing how efficiently the patient reads the letters.
