What are the benefits of sports supplements?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have no medical complications, and I have not been diagnosed with any conditions. I exercise regularly, running four to five kilometers every other day. I take sports supplements prior to my workout. I have taken L-Citrulline Malate or L-Citrulline Nitrate for over a year now. I did not have any adverse side effects. I know that they are related to the NO synthesis and affect vasodilation, which is why I am contacting you, a cardiologist. I want to purchase them. Can you provide me with a note that says I am cleared to take these supplements? Please help.

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern. I can provide you with a note to take L-Citrulline Malate or L-Citrulline Nitrate as you are not having the cardiac disease. You may have to furnish an electrocardiogram (ECG).

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hi,

Thank you for the reply.

I only needed the note from a doctor with the doctor's signature on your office's letterhead. If you can provide that in a document that would be great and help me immensely

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

You will have to wait a day because the letterhead is in the hospital or will a stamp and signature on a blank paper do?

Regards.
