Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
Attached is my ECG report from yesterday. I believe it shows a significant improvement compared to my Holter report from six months back. I would like to think that the improvement in blood parameters has helped (sent to you with my query 22 days ago).
I am still considering a pacemaker because of the positive experience I had with stent insertion 10 years ago.
In your opinion, is a pacemaker strictly required now, or is it optional?
Please help.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I have gone through your query and understand your concern.
Thank you for sharing your ECG (attachment removed to protect patient identity).
Could you please share your previous ECG and Holter monitoring reports for comparison?
I could not find them in the previous messages.
Regarding the current ECG (electrocardiogram), it still appears to show heart block. In the presence of symptoms such as dizziness, loss of consciousness in the past, or even undue generalized weakness, and if the Holter monitoring has shown high-grade AV (atrioventricular) block, pacemaker implantation may be required.
Also, decisions are usually not based on a single ECG, because heart rhythm can vary from moment to moment. The final decision depends on the overall clinical picture and Holter findings, especially if high-grade AV blocks are present, even intermittently.
Based on the available information, you may still be a candidate for pacemaker implantation, depending on the complete evaluation. Therefore, I would recommend sharing your reports and continuing to consult and follow the advice of a nearby cardiologist to avoid future adverse events.
I hope I have answered your question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Thank you.

Please help.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
I have gone through your query and understand your concern.
I have gone through your reports (attachment removed to protect patient identity). There is evidence of AV (atrioventricular) block, and a pacemaker is indicated in this scenario.
I hope I have answered your question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Thank you.
