What causes work-related stress and tiredness?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 22 years old and work in an accounting environment. I feel extremely exhausted when I wake up, and my energy levels fluctuate throughout the day. I also struggle with stress and anxiety, so I was advised to take a low dosage of CBD (convention on biological diversity). I also take a multivitamin and sometimes an energy booster, but I still feel tired. I have been tired even before starting the CBD, and all my blood tests came back clear. I am not sure what is causing the tiredness.

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your stress and concern.

It is normal to feel burnt out after months of doing the same routine, especially at work. Workplace stress is often overlooked, but it is important to recognize and address it. I suggest taking a break from your daily routine and doing activities that help you relax things you have been wanting to try for a while.

I recommend getting some blood tests. Please follow up with the results. Also, make sure you eat a balanced diet, have a regular sleep schedule, reduce screen time, exercise, and drink plenty of water. Try to sit in the morning sunlight for at least 10 to 20 minutes every day.

Here are the tests I suggest:

  1. Serum vitamin D3 levels.
  2. Serum vitamin B12 levels.
  3. Thyroid profile.
  4. CBC (Complete Blood Count).

I hope you are satisfied with my answer. For further queries, you can consult me at iCliniq.

Thank you.
