Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

Skin tanning is a side effect of excessive sun exposure. Indian skin is very prone to getting tan. I explain treatment and precautions in a point-wise manner. I suggest you consult your specialist doctor, discuss with him or her, and take the medicines with their consent. In addition, you can do the following:

1. Avoid direct sunlight exposure as much as you can. Wear sunglasses and caps, and cover exposed parts of your body all the time.

2. Apply sunscreen three times a day, at 10 a.m., 12 p.m., and 3 p.m., all over your face.

3. Apply a sunscreen SPF (sun protection factor) 50.

4. Use anti-pigmentation creams over the pigmented part, like Kojic acid, hydroquinone, and Tretinoin and hydroquinone cream, etc.

5. If tanning is deep and too much, then the ideal treatment is Glycolic acid peels. Sittings of six to eight peels must be required.

6. Never stop sunscreen, even if tanning goes off.

Pimples are somewhat hormonal and due to oily skin.

1. Do not use hair oil or any sticky cream on your face.

2. Avoid oily foods, chocolate, and milk products.

3. Avoid dust; use sunscreen( above 30 SPF).

4. Do not rub any cream on the face.

5. Do not use any steroid creams.

6. Continue treatment for at least 1 month.

7. Use a mild face wash or soap is not a treatment and is not used in full.

8. Do not touch acne, and avoid pressing it.

For treatment, I would suggest you apply

1. Clindamycin: This is more preventive and curative, so I tell patients to use it all over their faces in the morning.

2. Adapalene gel (Adalene, Defferine) to use over acne at night.

3. Take a tablet of Doxy (Doxycycline) 100 mg (milligrams) once a day.

Kindly consult a specialist, talk with them, and take medications with their consent.

I hope this helps.

Do get back in case of any further queries.

Thank you.
