Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I am a 26-year-old with continuous deep pain and stiffness in my chest, upper back, shoulder, and neck. Further, I feel discomfort and tightness in the skull and forehead area. Likewise, I feel sensations in my brain also. I have visited many doctors, like an orthopedic, rheumatologist, neurologist, and even a psychiatrist.
Now I am in treatment with a psychiatrist. But I am not feeling progress. It has been more than a year. Some doctors say fibromyalgia, and others told me that I have anxiety, depression, with tension headache, and some also say somatoform disorder.
My blood test and all reports are normal. This suffering started just after the death of my beloved father. I want to be cured as soon as possible.
Please help me.
Thank you.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern.
I am sorry about your father, and you may have a tension-type of headache with somatization. There is non-pharmacological management for it, and you should try to follow the below guidelines to deal with it. It will help you.
I suggest you take Amitriptyline 25 mg at night after dinner and must do the complete blood count and follow-up within one week. Consult your specialist doctor, discuss with them, and take medications with their consent.
I hope that you get your answer.
Thank you.
