What is the cause of persistent vaginal discharge?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am continuously experiencing a discharge near my vagina. I have shown it to doctors, but I have not found any relief. Please help me with my issue.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for your query. I read your query and understood your concern.

You should have mentioned the medication your doctor prescribed for you. I suggest taking the tablet Augmentin 500 mg three times a day for one week, provided you have no history of allergies to this medication. Furthermore, if there is a lot of pus, you should visit a nurse or doctor for daily dressing or to have the pus drained. If there is still no improvement, you may need to get a pus test done.

There is no need to panic. Reduce the intake of sweets in your diet during this time. Let me know how the wound is after a week.

I hope it helped. Feel free to reach out if you have any further queries.

Thank you.
