Why do I have pain, dryness, and swelling during sex?

I want to ask about something that has been bothering me. Whenever my husband and I have sex, I feel wet at first, but during intercourse, I suddenly become very dry. It becomes painful, and I also notice slight swelling around my clitoris.

It started with just itching and discharge. I have treated it a few times, but the symptoms return. Could this be related to the recurring infection, or is something else causing this?
