This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have a mild fever of 100 degrees Fahrenheit. I had rashes on my body yesterday, which disappeared today. I took the tablets given by my doctor. My doctor said that I have viral fever. Do I have a viral fever due to dengue or chikungunya? I also have a burning sensation in my eyes. Please help me. Please let me know more about viral fever. When will my fever subside?

Answered by Dr. Pandian. P

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

You will recover from the viral fever in five to seven days. After that, you need supportive measures only. I suggest you keep yourself hydrated, drink plenty of fluids, and consult your doctor for further evaluation.
