Noncancerous growth in the body that does not spread to other parts of the body is called a benign growth. Examples of benign growth are adenomas, lipomas, myomas, nevi, and fibroids. The imaging techniques used to diagnose benign growth are CT scan, MRI scan, mammogram, ultrasound, and x-rays.
