Medical Conditions - Cardiac Scan

A cardiac scan or coronary calcium scan is a specialized X-ray. It uses a multidetector-row or multislice computerized tomography for imaging. This X-ray provides images of the heart for measuring calcium plaques in the arteries. These plaques obstruct the arteries and cause the development of coronary artery diseases.
