It is an inactivated vaccine developed by Bharat Biotech, an Indian biotechnology company, in collaboration with the Indian Council of Medical Research. These inactivated vaccines have the dead virus in them, which induces the immune reaction. The dose schedule of the vaccine involves two shots of the vaccine taken 28 days apart. Headache, fever, pain at the injection site, fatigue, nausea, and vomiting are few common side effects of this vaccine.
