Frozen shoulder refers to stiffness and pain in the shoulder due to the thickening of the connective capsule covering the shoulder joint. This usually occurs when there is no movement in the joint for few days due to medical procedures, stroke, etc. There are three stages in this condition. Treatment includes medication to reduce pain, exercise like the range of motion exercise, arthroscopic surgery, etc.
