Gonadotropin-releasing hormone is a tropic peptide hormone that is synthesized and released from gonadotropin-releasing hormone neurons within the part of the brain known as the hypothalamus. It is used to release the follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH) from the pituitary gland (anterior pituitary). This hormone is used to make testosterone in men.
