Medical Conditions - Immunocompromised

Immunocompromised is when a person's immune system is weakened or does not function properly. The defense mechanism of the immune system is significantly less in these people, and they are prone to several infections. Chronic infections (diabetes, HIV), autoimmune disorders (rheumatoid arthritis, lupus), radiotherapy, old age, pregnancy, and malnutrition can make a person immunocompromised.
