Medical Conditions - Immunoglobulin G

Immunoglobulin G (IgG) is an antibody found in the blood and other bodily fluids. It is the most abundant antibody in the body and plays a key role in the immune system's defense against infections. IgG is produced by plasma cells in response to foreign substances like viruses, bacteria, and other pathogens. It can also cross the placenta during pregnancy, providing passive immunity to the developing fetus.
