Ligamentum flavum, or the yellow ligament, is a paired and discontinuous ligament that connects the interlaminar space and forms part of the border of the spinal cord. This ligament is found throughout the spine. Small spaces are present between the ligament flavum of the left and right sides to allow the passage of veins.
