Medical Conditions - Peyronies Disease

Peyronie's disease is the formation of scar tissues in the penis due to injury during intercourse or injury for any other reason. It leads to curvature of the penis. It does not require any treatment if it does not cause pain or any discomfort during intercourse. Treatment of this varies according to the degree of curvature. For small degree curvatures, medication like topical steroid application, etc., is used. Non-surgical options to treat this are shock-wave therapy, penile traction, etc. If the curvature is more surgical, treatment like shortening of the unaffected area, lengthening the side with scar tissue, etc., are done.
