Medical Conditions - Pituitary Adenoma

A pituitary adenoma is a benign condition of the pituitary tumor. It is categorized into microadenoma and macroadenoma. The pituitary adenomas are further categorized into two types based on their functions. If the pituitary gland still functions by secreting the hormones, then it is known as a functional adenoma. If the complete loss of function of the gland is noted, it is called a non-functional adenoma.
