He presently serves as a consultant Neurosurgeon at Aditya Birla Hospital, Pune. Dr. Rahul Pramod Patil has undergone extensive and rigorous medical training. He has completed his MBBS from Grant Medical College, Mumbai, and his MCh in General Surgery from Topiwala National Medical College, Mumbai. He pursued his MS in General Surgery at Rabindra Nath Tagore Medical College, Udaipur, Rajasthan. He further undertook several fellowship programs incorporating endoscopic and minimally invasive skull base neurosurgery (Mumbai) and neuro-endoscopy (brain and spine) (Jabalpur), thereby strengthening his clinical and operative skills. Dr. Rahul Pramod Patil's Publications include; Combined endoscopic approach to the management of suprasellar craniopharyngioma. Comparative study between short segment open versus percutaneous pedicle screw fixation with indirect decompression in managing acute burst fracture of the thoracolumbar and lumbar spine. Gunshot wound causing complete spinal cord injury without mechanical violation of spinal axis (Case report and literature review). Pedicle screw fixation for low lumbar burst fracture with grade 4 retrolisthesis without any neurological deficit. A case report "Cisterna-magna, the rarest avenue of traumatic CSF fistula." In a case report, a Supra-sellar arachnoid cyst presented signs of normal pressure hydrocephalus: concurrent craniectomy and cesarean section in severe head injury: A case report and literature review. Dr. Rahul Pramod Patil's Awards include; First Prize in the seminar on "Role of dietary factors in causing cardiac diseases" in 2000. Indian Council of Medical Research Scholarship award for upper GI endoscopy in 2002.
