Rumination is a feeding and eating disease in which unprocessed food comes back up from an individual’s stomach into his or her mouth, that is, regurgitation. Once the food is back in the mouth, the individual may chew it and eat up it again, or spit it out. This behavior generally arises after every feast, and apparently effortlessly.

Rumination disorder is a condition in which people repeatedly and without knowing spit up undigested food from the stomach, rechew it, and then spit it out.
