Medical Conditions - Sepsis

Sepsis is a fatal disease that occurs due to the response of the body's immune system to an infection. It involves three stages, namely sepsis, severe sepsis, and septic shock. Infections of the bloodstream, kidney, abdomen, and pneumonia are the most common causes of sepsis. Intravenous antibiotics, corticosteroids, insulin, vasoactive medicines, and painkillers help in treating sepsis.
