Sleeping pills are drugs that are used to treat insomnia by relaxation and drowsiness. Antidepressants, benzodiazepines, Z-drugs, etc., are sleeping pills. They work by creating drowsiness or by inhibiting the area of the brain that gives alertness. Side effects are dizziness, constipation, dry mouth, headache, nausea, etc.
