Spectacles or glasses are devices made by mounting glass or plastic lenses in a frame and are usually used to correct problems with the eyesight. It helps correct refractory errors of the eye like myopia (nearsightedness), hyperopia (farsightedness), astigmatism, and presbyopia. Spectacles used to protect eyes from dust and flying debris are called safety glasses.
