Tick-borne relapsing fever is an infectious disease spread by ticks that carry the Borrelia bacterium species. In this disease, it is common to have mixed periods of recurring disease and recovery. Blood tests are used for diagnosis and antibiotic therapy like Penicillin or Doxycycline is commonly used. To prevent the occurrence of this disease, it is advised to use insect repellent and use of protective clothes.
