How to regain face structure after a surgical extraction?

Hi, Welcome to icliniq.com. Jaw pain, swelling, difficulty in opening the mouth are commonly present for a few days after the surgical extraction of wisdom tooth. Healing depends on the type of impaction, bone coverage, or traumatic extraction. Bad breath occurs due to difficulty in mouth opening while brushing or food lodgement. Avoid sticky foods and keep the area clean.

What will be the treatment for my misaligned front teeth?

Hi, Welcome to icliniq.com. The probable cause for your dental problem is Angle's malocclusion (maybe class II division 1 or 2). Suppose you have done orthodontic treatment and have retainers, and your upper front two teeth are the only concern; I suggest going for crowns only for that tooth to correct your smile (esthetic treatment). If your function is also affected (meaning chewing), I suggest taking orthodontic treatment and retainers to bring back the malaligned teeth. You might need a dental x-ray (orthopantomogram) for further treatment.

What are the causes and treatment options for halitosis?

Hello, Welcome to icliniq.com. Bad mouth odor (halitosis) is caused by food deposits, plaque, or tartar (calculus). The food deposit forms a thin film that is easily removable, but when it is calcified, it is very difficult to remove by simple brushing. Therefore, I suggest you do ultrasonic scaling by a dentist nearby. I can help you by guiding you with proper brushing techniques and oral prophylaxis methods in the follow-up.

How can the tartar buildup on teeth be removed?

Hello, Welcome to icliniq.com. The deposits around the tooth are calcified and form calculus which cannot be removed by brushing alone. I suggest you do scaling (ultrasonic cleaning) and root planing, and once it is done, we can prevent the further formation of tartar (calculus). I saw the pictures attached (attachments removed to protect the patient's identity). You have a lot of spacing (space between teeth), I suggest you follow good oral hygiene measures to prevent periodontitis.

Is cellulitis secondary to tooth abscess a dental emergency?

Hello, Welcome to icliniq.com. This is a case of space infection occurring from the infection of the tooth, known as cellulitis secondary to a periapical abscess. It must have started as dental caries, spread to the tip of the root, then from there to the surrounding tissues and sinus. You need to be treated immediately. Take a dental X-ray and OPG (orthopantomogram) to see how much infection has spread; then, the abscess needs to be drained, followed by the root canal treatment of the affected tooth.

Will a new tooth erupt if a retained milk tooth is removed?

Hello,Welcome to icliniq.com.I understand your situation, but I need a little more clarification. The main thing is your age, so anyway, by six years of age, your milk tooth will start to shed and be replaced by a permanent tooth. If your milk tooth is not removed, that means that the space is still occupied, and there is no space for your permanent tooth to come out. This will cause either the permanent tooth to come in different positions or have a delayed eruption.
