Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am 25 years and seven months old, and my two front teeth are not aligned. I had a retainer five years ago, but my teeth returned to their original position again. I want the best way to treat them. I will share the pictures; please let me know the solution.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

The probable cause for your dental problem is Angle's malocclusion (maybe class II division 1 or 2). Suppose you have done orthodontic treatment and have retainers, and your upper front two teeth are the only concern; I suggest going for crowns only for that tooth to correct your smile (esthetic treatment). If your function is also affected (meaning chewing), I suggest taking orthodontic treatment and retainers to bring back the malaligned teeth. You might need a dental x-ray (orthopantomagram) for further treatment.

Differential diagnosis

Relapse after orthodontic treatment.

Periodontitis.

Probable diagnosis

Relapse after orthodontic treatment.

Treatment plan

Fixed crown in relation to 11 and 12 or orthodontic treatment.

Regarding follow up

Please follow up with a proper history.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
