Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I have been facing bad breath and mouth odor issues for many years. However, my oral hygiene is good, and I am using mouthwash, but the effect of mouthwash does not last even for an hour. Kindly tell me the exact treatment to get rid of bad breath.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
Bad mouth odor (halitosis) is caused by food deposits, plaque, or tartar (calculus). The food deposit forms a thin film that is easily removable, but when it is calcified, it is very difficult to remove by simple brushing. Therefore, I suggest you do ultrasonic scaling by a dentist nearby. I can help you by guiding you with proper brushing techniques and oral prophylaxis methods in the follow-up.
Preventive measures include maintaining proper oral hygiene.
I hope this has helped you. Please feel free to reach me again, in case of further queries.
Thank you.
